This course will involve the study of global fashion branding issues in the world today with a focus on communication practices.

This is open to anyone who is interested fashion issues around the globe, as well, as developing a successful fashion label/brand that is mindful of ethics and sustainability.

Faculty: Ria De Borja 

Ria was born in Manila and left for Boston in her teens. She worked at a men's magazines in New York City after college. She eventually became Fashion Editor of Metro magazine, then Senior Features Writer of Tatler Philippines.

She completed her M.B.A. in ESSEC and was the Paris-based European Correspondent of Tatler Philippines. Publications she has written for include Tatler Hong Kong, Prestige Singapore, ablogcuratedby.com and ashadedviewonfashion.com.

She wrote regularly for Zoo (Amsterdam) and the broadsheet The Philippine Daily Inquirer. Ria was the Paris correspondent for the Hermès and Bulgari offices in Singapore and the Philippines. She was hired as a copywriter for the Paris office of Louis Vuitton.

Ria has her own business in Manila in which she has writers and marketers who answers clients’ needs.

Course Structure: The workshop will be done via online with Zoom serving as the platform.

A Certificate of Attendance will be given to each student who has successfully completed the program.
